Folks online are reaching out to National Review editor-in-chief Rich Lowry after he apparently used a racist insult while examining the Republican-launched anti-Haitian verbiage that immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, are eating domestic animals.
The moment ensued on “The Megyn Kelly Show” behind the host supported JD Vance for revealing to CNN’s Dana Bash that he drove up the story around Haitians in Ohio for attention.
“You remember alternative realities with Kellyanne? They accomplished the same thing. She wasn’t telling you make up dreams and pretend they’re truths. You bring other points to bear in the meeting that are being overlooked,” Lowry spoke, also finding motivation in Vance’s racist tactic. “That’s what [Vance] was speaking. I believe it was in that discussion where Dana Bash states, ‘Police have reached through 11 months of recordings of rings and they’ve only discovered two Springfield residents calling to whine about Haitian…”
That’s when it seemed to sound as if Lowry exploited the racist slight, “n—r.”
He then repaired himself with “migrants” and persisted with his thoughts.
“Only two calls and I guess one lesson in this complete story: People don’t overlook about geese. Individuals hate geese. All things thought, I think people would choose Haitian migrants to arrive and take the geese off the golf system,” Lowry said.
“Yep, this is precisely what happened — I began to mispronounce the word ‘immigrants’ and noticed myself halfway around,” he explained of himself later on X (formerly Twitter).
It didn’t take lengthy for social media to consider in on whether they attended an “n” or an “m” atop the report in question.

One person even delayed the clip down for possible clarity.
“I took the hook of Rich Lowry editor-in-chief of National Review, from ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’ and restricted it to 30% on Premiere Pro while preserving the pitch,” another X user registered. “Lowry was talking about Haitian immigrants. The captions were cause by AI. It sounds like he spoke the n-word.”
Despite there being no proof of Haitian settlers stealing and eating pets and regional officials coming along to debunk the information, many Republicans have persisted to push the wrong narrative anyway.
“In response to current rumors alleging unlawful activity by the immigrant residents in our city, we wish to explain that there have been no plausible reports or specific shares of pets being abused, injured, or abused by people within the immigrant neighborhood,” a Springfield Police representative said last week.
The rumors regarding Haitian migrants jump up after a 27-year-old, non-Haitian, Black woman call Allexis Telia Ferrell was charged in Canton, Ohio. After police told she may have killed a cat in a “residential area in front of numerous people,” USA Today wrote. Canton is approximately 170 miles northeast of Springfield. Ferrell is an Ohio citizen.
