Dodgers’ Interleague Battle Heats Up with Showdown in Anaheim

Technically the Dodgers road journey resumes on Tuesday, but the team is back family as they recreate the Angels for two matches at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

This will be Shohei Ohtani’s rather plays that total in a ballpark he reached home for the last six seasons. He earned a fixed ovation during the show Freeway Series during spring sports at Angel Stadium in March.

This week completes the interleague part of the Dodgers program, meeting the Angels then hosting the Guardians, parts of a period of 14 matches against American League groups out of 18 over three weeks. The Dodgers’ 27-14 form in interleague sport is third-best in baseball, following only Milwaukee (31-15) and Atlanta (27-13).

Two plays in Anaheim characterize a quartet of pitchers glancing to turn around failed seasons in the last month.

Former Louisville teammates and partner 2020 first-round breeze picks Reid Detmers and Bobby Miller won’t meet each other. As Detmers begins Tuesday for the Angels and Miller on Wednesday. Both were chosen for the juveniles after working this season.

Detmers yielded as September archives expanded behind three months with Salt Lake. Including knocking out 29 over his previous three Triple-A starts, permitting only three runs in 21 innings. Miller is always struggling with his control. Occasionally with his offspeed angles, sometimes with his fastball. His previous two starts offered the front of something to create on even while homer-prone, knocking out 12 in 11 innings.

Dodgers vs. Angels

Walker Buehler begins Tuesday’s opener, peeking to end five innings for the first period since June 12. The right-hander holds a 5.88 ERA in 11 beginnings, and is now three jumps around from a two-month reset facilitated by good hip inflammation. Recreating an act of shoddy defense later Wednesday against the Orioles, Buehler was removed after 4⅔ innings, but declared afterward, “I’m as motivated as I’ve been since 2021.”

It began Wednesday for the Angels, with 83 made runs for the season. His 5.19 ERA rates 59th among 61 eligible major company pitchers, but he has the most reasonable ERA among the four starters in this sequence, with Bobby Miller at 7.25 and Detmers at 6.12.

The Dodgers and Angels smashed a team at Dodger Stadium on June 21-22.

On television, there are numerous ways to manage locally in reserve to SportsNet LA. With the Angels publishing both plays on Bally Sports West. Tuesday’s opener will even be on MLB Network.
