Los Osos High School dancer and America’s Got Talent competition Emily Gold, 17, has passed.
On Friday, Sept. 13, Gold was discovered deceased by suicide at 11:52 pm, the San Bernardino Coroner’s Office documents to PEOPLE.
In a statement conveyed with PEOPLE, California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Rodrigo Jimenez stated that “officers from the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga region reacted to a pedestrian down in streets.”
“When the authorities arrived, they discovered a female, 17 year old, who was hit by at least one other automobile in the carpool route on eastbound 210,” Jimenez stated. “The woman did succumb to her wounds and was enunciated dead at the scene.”
Police have invited anybody who saw what occurred or has additional details to contact their student, Officer S. Gonzalez.
PEOPLE has come out to Rancho Cucamonga Police Department as well as models for Los Osos High School and America’s Got Talent for comment.
Just previous month, the Southern California teenager had wowed the country alongside the Los Osos High School dance group on America’s Got Talent. After driving it through auditions, the company landed in to the series’ quarterfinals before they were destroyed in August.
Despite their elimination, Judge Simon Cowell offered the team’s high energy interpretation a standing ovation.

Gold told of her time onstage, “When I’m portraying, I’m really feeling about all the disciplines because we get sentences up until five minutes before we proceed on stage. So to really just believe about all those so that we involve them is my greatest priority on stage.”
Asked how she was faking being in high academy with performing on AGT, she stated, “it’s definitely tough to negate it all, but we make it happen.”
Shortly behind the news of her demise, Gold’s loved ones contained a GoFundMe to raise funds for the dancer’s family.
“With great sadness we communicate our Los Osos Grizzly Emily Gold has given away,” the fundraiser read. “As a society lets come jointly and support the Gold home in this tough time. Please know this capital will go directly to the home to support them and assist with expenses.”
